December 12, 2018

San Antonio Missions National Historical Park is seeking to hire a Community Volunteer Ambassador immediately and have no applicants at this time. They would like to hire a CVA as soon as possible, which means that if any of your students apply, they could be hired within the next 2 weeks.

Benefits include:

- Paid $440/week for 50 weeks (1/28/2019-01/10/2020)
- Premium-Free Health Insurance
- Federal training related to the field of volunteer coordination
- All expenses paid one week national training in Austin
- Unlimited access to online professional training courses via the Department of Interior learning platform

What a CVA does:
CVAs get top-notch training while they work alongside the volunteer coordinator to ensure that underrepresented communities are encouraged to take part in projects that are geared towards preserving cultural, environmental, and historical resources. They also contribute to the educational programming at the park, develop meaningful volunteer projects/events, and coordinate service learning opportunities. They work 40 hours a week for the 50-week internship, and upon completion, we provide federal job placement assistance as described in the benefits above.
